There’s one thing that we can’t control, and that is the passing of time. It’s a fact that everyday we all get a little bit older, but it's a habit to be forever young! Age brings so many positives and so much to celebrate, and the knowledge and wisdom that we gain with the years is so very welcome. With proper inside out health and a little TLC we can enjoy the way our body looks and feels as we age too. It may be impossible to turn back time, but thankfully there are ways to help ease and erase some of the signs (and feels) of aging.
A Sincere Smile
Did you know that your smile is often one of the first area of our appearance that can show signs of aging? As we age our lips naturally become thinner and lines start to appear. Teeth can also become stained and decay can cause tooth loss. It is important to visit your dentist for regular checkups - as scary as it may be - going regularly usually means less to be worried about (and especially if you find cool folk like those at Bowral Street Dental Practice who offer professional dentistry in a calm environment). And if how your teeth look hold you back from the joy of smiling widely and frequently there's the option to whiten or straighten them relatively easily thanks to the many welcome advancements in dentistry in recent years. #smilelikeyoumeanit
Luminous Skin
There's so much to consider when it comes to skin but one major factor is that our skin tends to get drier with age, making us prone to lines and wrinkles. That is why it is so important to moisturise, not just your face, but all over your body on a daily basis. Concentrate an anti-aging day or night specific moisturiser on your face and neck as these are the parts of the body which are exposed to the sun more often and shows signs of aging first. Then pay particular attention to your hands. Hands need to be moisturised more than the rest of us since we dry them out with soaps, cleaners and physical work. It's worth investing in a good quality hand cream that you truly love so it becomes an easy habit to apply often. #youglowgirl

Healthy Hair
For some, a frustrating aspect to aging is how it affects our hair. The texture of hair tends to become coarser and drier and the appearance of grey hairs can be an annoyance to keeping a certain colour. If you're not one to embrace the grey, a regular salon appointment can help maintain your colour of choice longer. Of course, colouring chemicals can negatively affect the texture of your hair so extra treatments are usually needed. Consider paraben free, sulfate free and safer hair care products that are now readily available and just as nourishing to gently restore your hair and avoid health deteriorating nasties from entering your body. Get advice from your hairdresser when choosing a hairstyle and hair colour for your evolving style as you age, as the right look can take years off a person...and majorly boost your confidence! #happierhair
Youthful Eyebrows
Eyebrows are very much in style at the moment and rightly so, as a well shaped brow frames and lifts the face. Your eyes are also accentuated by your eyebrows, so full and healthy looking brows provide a more youthful appearance. Don’t be tempted to over pluck your eyebrows as they may never grow back. Visit a salon for professional advice or make a great brow pencil or cream your brows best friend. #browsonfleek
Exercise that Delights
We all know regular exercise helps to keep weight within a healthy range and helps to keep our cardiovascular system healthy. But our bodies require a little more care and attention in order to reduce aches and pains as well as to keep our bodies supple as we age. Whether you're 25 or 55, listen to your body and give it what it craves in this department, delighting it rather than damaging it. You may decide to switch out one day of HIIT with swimming laps, a massage and sauna session or some stretching yoga if you're body is urging you to slow down or switch things up. Gain expert advice from a personal trainer or join your local gym or health club for a regime that suits you, your body goals and lifestyle best.
A Nourishing Diet
You are what you eat is never more important than as when we age. If you eat a clean and alkaline healthy diet you're often better able to keep disease at bay, have more energy, sleep and recover better, and feel well, vital and young as the years roll on. A diet rich in fruit and vegetables also does wonders for your skin, making that inside out health philosophy a relevant and realistic solution to staying forever young as any. Consider GMO and preservative free foods and supplements that support specific areas of your mind and body or seek advice from your health practitioner for a tailored plan to your overall health improvement and sustainability.

But of all of these ways to stay forever young, my favourite is to feel it in your mind, heart and soul.
I intend to embrace my inner child, youthful curiosity and adventure seeking through life
right till my very last breath and I hope that you will too.
Life is far to much fun to fret about that which we cannot control.
So control what you can to the best of your ability, feel fabulous for it
and enjoy the heck out of every day in every way you can!
Know someone that needs to hear this?
Sharing is caring.
