This week's process and results of my Creative Makeup Assessments from Beauty School is the ENTERTAINMENT MAKEUP LOOK and I created a Black Swan from the film with Natalie Portman - Dark and mysteriously beautiful, she is flawed in her simple perfection - the character to the right blending with the soul on the left. The look was modeled the fierce Tayla who was such a trooper not cracking under the pressure of so much face paint....get it, get it?! 😉 But we did have a good laugh and I'd defintely try this look again with the whole face painted white and done with airbrush as first intended.
“It’s about a girl who gets turned into a swan and she needs love to break the spell, but her prince falls for the wrong girl so she kills herself.”
- Nina, Black Swan
INSPIRATION
Think theatrical Yohji Yamamoto with a Rodarte queen of darkness twirling down a misty alley to Yeezy’s Black Skinhead. China doll - broken - grows wings and burns in stark silence.
