I always like to take a peek inside other's wardrobes - that's what the internet is for right?!
So I thought I'd share a few peeks into mine during a week of work and play
- mostly play - with ideas to kick your creative dressing from your own wardrobe up a gear.

WORK WEAR DOESN'T HAVE TO BE BORING
Unless you work in a strict uniformed environment where anything else would be inappropriate, there's a million ways to now interpret work wear and express your personality through colour, texture, shoes, bags, belts, other accessories and even your makeup.
START WITH YOUR FAVOURITES
If you're stuck go for your favourite item and build an outfit around it. Maybe a skirt like my Chanel inspired number to the left. It's texture and shape make it totally business-like so I kept it the main focal point with the addition of a black silk tee. Then I added accessories that helped it sing my fun and creative style language.
THE DAY TO NIGHT ESSENTIALS
For day, you may need sunglasses, comfy shoes, or a scarf or shawl to layer in an office or hall. After dark, add cuter shoes, a jacket, bolder lip or smoky eye...and consider the bag you're carrying an extras in. Simple but significant is my motto on this matter!
TRY IT ALL ON & TAKE SOMETHING AWAY
I've talked about prepping your conference wardrobe before but the key even to a week of your #bestlife work outfits is really to try everything on - with makeup on (just like trying on swimwear with a tan...much more enjoyable)! Take a Sunday afternoon to have a wardrobe party and mix, match and note down your combo's for the week's worth of work and play. But always cast a discerning eye over the details - too much fuss can equal a faux pas, so do as Coco Chanel and “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.”
