The classic colours, textures and relaxed seaside charm of Hamptons style is universally appealing and can be embraced no matter where you are located. Choosing clean over kitsch when it comes to ocean inspired decor, and timeless over shabby when it comes to furniture and finishes, keeps this popular interiors approach streamlined and relatively simple to achieve. In honouring my obsession (and feeding yours), here's the Hamptons style elements you can steal and install in your own abode.
1. Navy
White is all right, beige is not boring and navy is new again - always! This beautiful blue combines sophistication, softness, masculine, feminine richness and colour without too much pop. It's classic Hamptons in grass-cloth wallpaper, bedding, cushions or artwork and it's easy on the eyes whilst also being easy maintenance.
2. Shutters
Is there anything more charming, practical, nautical and nice?! Whether you're adding them inside or out, you can't go wrong with brilliant white. Great from all rooms solo, or combined with a sheer, silk or linen decorative drape. Add to cart or mood board at once!
3. Linen
Linen is pure understated luxury in fabric form with the bonus benefit of being truly easy-care. Use everywhere from upholstery on sofas and occasional chairs, bedding, window treatments, and cushions. A subtle variation in texture and colour when grouping elements can also help to add intrigue, inside and out.

4. Glass Lighting
Keep things clean and bright with glass light fixtures in hallways, over counter-tops, and on lampshade bases. Mix with black or a hint of rattan in lantern or organic shapes for a contemporary beachside vibe.
5. Paneling
Don't overlook the power of the panel for bolstering blank walls into brilliantly interesting ones without breaking the bank on art or distracting the eye with extra. Paneled exterior and interior doors, beveled or Shaker-style kitchen cabinets, and even recessed or paneled ceilings also add underlying richness and class to your space. Especially great for high ceilings and tall blank white walls.

6. Greenery
Embrace nature and bring big bold fronds and green flowering bunches into any and every room in your Hamptons home for an injection of freshness. Monstera, palms, orchids, and rich green leaves - plants are excellent air purifiers, mood boosters and friendly finishing touches.
