Whether you're out of lock-down, looking forward to being free again soon, or lusting for warmer days, you need something to wear for mid-season weather! So let's play virtual dress-ups and pick your place to get your outfit inspo. Of course, I'm a big advocate of first shopping your wardrobe and thrifting, but if you need a hit a retail therapy as well, you're all linked up with these lewks. OK, let's go!
Back to Work - Anything But Basic
Feeling like a boss going back to work? Just started your own business so now you are the boss? Feeling sassy, bad-assy and ready to get that bread? Good, waltz on into work like a new woman in anything but basic Blazing Red and fashion a newfound confidence.
"Red is the first color of spring. It's the real color of rebirth. Of beginning."
- Ally Condie
DINNER DATE NIGHT ALL DRESSED UP
This will forever be known as the year we truly appreciated feeling full-glam and donning a sexy dress and heels for a date night. So, pick your partner, book a table, check the menu (no, just me?!), and feel free to go all out outfit-wise on the true glory of going out-out of the house!
Give a rich green a go as seen in luxury leather on the Spring runways for 2020 - it's dark, mysterious and serves as a great neutral to pops of glam gold in accents and accessories.
PRETTY IN THE PARK WITH GAL PALS
Gather the girls and hit up the leafiest lush park in your prettiest pastel outfits, complete with a delicious picnic and bottle of bubbles of course! Think crisp whites, coral crush pinks, faded denims, sage and the slightly more ocean eyes biscay greens - sunhat, sandals, bucket and basket bags, maxi dress moments and long cosy cardigans. While we're on the topic of cardigans, do put Taylor Swift's dreamy new album on repeat and enjoy a long lunch in the spring sunshine....I think I'll join you!
“Because there's one thing stronger than magic: sisterhood.”
ROAD TRIP RETREAT
Escape the city or your own four walls with a getaway drive to the countryside, complete with mountain air, farm-fresh food, long walks, and plenty of nature appreciation. Snapshot the scenery in summer-calling saffron, pleasant easy-wear polka dots and sixties prints, toughened-up with big boots. And don't forget the sunhat - enormous straw, boater, fedora, visor or akubra. Getting lost and loving it...
“Road trips are the equivalent of human wings. Ask me to go on one, anywhere. We'll stop in every small town and learn the history and stories, feel the ground, and capture the spirit. Then we'll turn it into our own story that will live inside our history to carry with us, always. Because stories are more important than things."
- Victoria Erickson
Whatever you do, wherever you go, know that you survived 2020 and be careful with your inner and outer health,
kind to your fellow beings, and grateful for all the small things - like changing seasons, spring scents,
fun fashion, and the freedom to appreciate it all.
