How to Really Keep Those Wrinkles at Bay

We all feel that we've to get rid of those wrinkles whatever the cost. One of the biggest problems we've all got is that wrinkles are the first signs of ageing. That and, of course, a couple of grey hairs. But we must remember that when it comes to keeping those wrinkles at bay, rather than getting stressed out about it, there are so many different approaches that you can incorporate into your life to combat them. So, we will touch on quite a few of these approaches. It's not just about youthful skin, but about a combination of methods. Let's dive in!

There's plenty of treatment options available to you. Beauty companies like Colorado Beauty offer a variety of techniques like dermaplaning, chemical peels, and micro needling but there are also topical creams that you can use which contain ingredients such as hyaluronic acid. There's also ingredients like retinoids that stimulate collagen production, but remember, it’s about choosing the right ones for you based on your budget. There's also other approaches that you can use like dermal fillers, laser therapy, and botox. But you've got to think about the big picture here. If you think you're going to get more wrinkles, it might not be advisable to actually keep treating these problem areas, but rather think about your lifestyle.

 

Addressing Your Lifestyle Factors

If there's one component that actually causes wrinkles more than anything else, it is how we live our lives. When it comes to lifestyle factors, there is, of course, alcohol consumption, smoking, diet, and hydration, but don't forget sun exposure. We have to use sunscreen on a daily basis, rain, shine, or cloud, and we have to seek shade to ensure that we're shielding our skin from those UV rays. These days there's a lot more UV rays than, say, 20 or 30 years ago, because of things like climate change. And if there's one thing that we should all do to reduce the development of those new wrinkles, it's staying out of the sun. As amazing as the sun can be, if you want to get the benefits of the sun, make sure you do it sparingly or, at the very least, have a vitamin D3 supplement.

Don't Forget to Reduce Your Stress

Stress is one of those things that accelerates the ageing process. As we feel more stressed, especially if there are a lot more pressures in life, whether it's family, job, or general lifestyle factors, we've got to think about how we can incorporate stress reduction techniques. It's those things that we hear about constantly but feel that there's no time to practise. Self-care is something that should be top of our list, but if you don't get the right amount of sleep for you or prioritise self-care for a few minutes a day, you will see a deterioration in your skin.
