If you get really serious, you can use a mannequin or dressmaker’s dolly to photograph the item in all its glory.
3. Write a Solid Description – Be honest, include brand names, sizing info, and style keywords so people searching can find your listing easily. I also talk about stretch and fabric feel, how I would style it, or whether it’s perfect for work-to-bar or could be dressed down with sneakers for a relaxed weekend look. Paint the picture that you care and that this item has value!
4. Offer Bundling Discounts – Encourage buyers to purchase multiple items by offering bundle deals. This not only helps you sell more but also saves on shipping fuss and increases your overall earnings. Be sure to mention bundling in your description - I keep a bundling message saved in the notes on my phone and simply copy and paste it into every listing.
5. Sort Out Shipping – Shipping might seem like a hassle, but it’s really just about getting into a rhythm. Depop allows you to set shipping costs or offer free shipping (which can make your items, especially higher ticket items, more appealing). Packaging neatly and using compostable mailers or recycled materials is a great touch (I talk more about this on TikTok). Keep it simple, and once you have a system in place, set days where you take a trip to the post office become exciting - it's your *sTuFf* going off into the big wide world to be loved once more!
